| karenmcdougal | Well, I'm still in the process of getting it together. It should be up soon. I'm planning to do my own web site as well as a site on the Playboy Cyber Club. |

| karenmcdougal | Yes, I've totally enjoyed it. It's been a lot of fun. Things are just going to get better and better and I hope to have a lot more fun. I've done quite a few promotions. I went to Biketober Fest. It's a smaller version of Bike Week at Daytona. I also did the Westin Cable Show in Anaheim. I've done signings, I've done the Keenan Show. I will continue to do more promotions. |
| Jerrylow | Hi Karen! What do you like best about being a Playmate? |
| karenmcdougal | I like that I get to travel and I get to meet new people. I like to meet people and talk with them. Of course I like getting my picture taken too. |

| Warath22 | What made you decide to become a Playmate? |
| karenmcdougal | I just sort of decided. Mom always talked about it after I got to a certain age and then I just decided to do it. I thought it would be an honor to be one of twelve women picked each year. |
| Sunnybrite | Have you had any offers for movies or television yet, and are you planning on doing any? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, I plan on doing some. Yes, I've had some audition offers. Nothing definite, but yes, I will be on TV. That's my goal. |
| Phitaued | As you probably know, it is now Spring Break for most of the colleges across America (including FSU, where I'm at). If, given the chance, where would be the one place you would choose to go? |
| karenmcdougal | Well, they don't have Spring Break in St. Lucia, but that's where I'd go. |

| Blofeldt | Has Playmate-hood made any big changes since you last chatted in November? It did seem as if you were doing well enough then! |
| karenmcdougal | Not really. I'm living my life as I normally would. It's given me a chance to further my career in acting, but otherwise, I'm still living the same life I was. |
| Robert0259 | Someone posted here at the Cyber Club that there should be a minimum age of 24 to become a Playmate. Do you think you would have handled being a Playmate any differently at 18 than at 27? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes. Obviously I wouldn't have been able to handle being a Playmate at 18 because you're so naive at that age. I'm very glad that I waited to become a Playmate. |
| Jerrylow | How did your friends react when you told them you were becoming a Playmate? |
| karenmcdougal | They were happy for me. Some were jealous, but most were very happy for me. Even people that weren't my friend were telling everyone that they were friends with a Playmate. |

| Jensencaj | Have your career plans changed any as a result of your experience as a Playmate? |
| karenmcdougal | No. Actually it's gotten better for me. I'd rather be acting than modeling. I've only been modeling for a year and a half now. I know that modeling is a short term career and acting is more long term if you're good. I definitely want to get back into teaching. In the end, when I'm all done with this, I would love to teach again. |
| Warath22 | Would you follow the many Playmates onto the set of Baywatch? |
| karenmcdougal | Definitely! |
| Stoneyrock | What actors or directors would you like to work with? |
| karenmcdougal | Demi Moore maybe. Honestly, I don't really watch TV and I don't really like movies. I'm more of a radio person. I'm sure that if I met some actors, I would have no clue who they were. |

| Sunnybrite | Will you continue to model if you start acting? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, if I have time. Hopefully, I'll be acting a lot and have a lot of roles so I won't have time. I will definitely do both though. You cut yourself short if you don't. |
| Otter001 | Hi Karen! I really enjoyed your segment in the "Girls Next Door" video. Did you enjoy making it? Can we expect to see you in any future videos? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, I did enjoy making it. It was a lot of fun. I don't have any plans right now to make a new one, but I'm sure I will in the future. You should watch my Centerfold video, it's better. |
| Sapikala | What types of roles would you like to play if you start acting? |
| karenmcdougal | All kinds. I don't want to stick to one certain character. I don't want to be know as the "bitch," "pretty girl," etc. I don't typecast. I want it all. |
| Tombrooks1 | I really like the Playmates Revisited feature in the magazine. Would you pose for the feature when you turn 40? |
| karenmcdougal | Absolutely! If I'm still in good shape. |

| Macinnis2 | Hi Karen, the last segment of your Centerfold video looks very similar to Jewel's music video. Did you plan it that way? |

| karenmcdougal | I didn't plan it that way, but the producer did plan it that way. |
| Misterhyde | In the pictorial with the dog sled, was that real snow? |
| karenmcdougal | It was great. I loved that part. Yes, it was real snow. And it was VERY cold. |

| karenmcdougal | Well, I would just enjoy life, do my duty, further my career and be happy. I'll just do what I do. Thanks for the compliment! |
| Good_time | You are so gorgeous in every way it is difficult to see any feature that stands out above all the others. Is there one physical attribute of which you are especially proud or confident? |
| karenmcdougal | I would say my best feature are my eyes and my smile. So, I always try to make sure that my eyes are smiling. |

| karenmcdougal | Probably Curious George. I still have one around somewhere. Of course, I like some of new books that teach kids how to do things. They are so cute. And I like Dr. Seuss. I loved Judy Blume too. |

| karenmcdougal | Well, I have a beer and I go have some fun. And fun can mean anything. |

| karenmcdougal | You can write to Playmate Promotions and Playboy will forward me the letter. Otherwise you'll have to wait until my site is up. |
| Jerrylow | What type of music do you listen to? |
| karenmcdougal | All kinds, but my favorite is top 40 dance music and hip hop. If I want to relax, I listen to slow love songs ... Kenny G.... |
| Robert0259 | Have you ever done Howard Stern, if yes, would you do it again? |
| karenmcdougal | No, I've never done it, but yes, I would do it. I'm awaiting that time. I think it would be a riot. |
| Sapikala | Karen: How do you keep track of 100 cousins? |
| karenmcdougal | It's hard. I know all my first cousins. I don't know all my second and third cousins though. But I'm a big family person so I try to keep everything straight. |
| Robert0259 | Will you be attending any Glamourcons this year? |
| karenmcdougal | I'm supposed to attend the Glamourcon show in Chicago next weekend. And I will attend some in the future too. |
| Good_time | Was it difficult the first time you posed nude? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes it was, but I got over it quickly. It's just a body. |

| karenmcdougal | And you realize that the photographer has seen so many naked girls.... |
| Usmarine | What do you think of the situation in Iraq? If it heats up, would you do an Operation Playmate effort just like in Desert Storm? |
| karenmcdougal | I would definitely do it. I support my fellow countrymen and women. I think we should keep peace everywhere though. |
| Otter001 | The introduction article to your Playmate layout mentioned that your high school nickname was Barbie, as in the Barbie doll. If someone were to create a Karen McDougal doll, what kind of accessories and clothing would you insist upon in order to capture your interests and personal style? |
| karenmcdougal | Definitely a baseball cap. Got to have the baseball cap. Then I would say lots of classy outfits, dresses and skirts -- stuff that makes me look classy. By the way, that's a good idea! |

| Jerrylow | In your Playmate Profile Video you had a scene with cats. Do you own a lot of cats? I enjoyed the video. |
| karenmcdougal | Thank you. I own two cats. I love animals and I actually told them that I wanted to do a scene with cats. They weren't my cats, but they were so cute. |
| Stoneyrock | What about the seductive poses? Did they come as easily as the nudity? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, they were easy. When it comes to posing, I guess I'm kind of a natural. I just goes with what feels right. |
| Robert0259 | Do you have a personal trainer? What do you do to keep your body in such fine shape? |
| karenmcdougal | No, I don't have a personal trainer. What I do is I work out three days a week and eat a lot of junk food. That's the truth. I'm a junk food junkie. |

| Usmarine | What was it like meeting Kurt Vonnegut? |
| karenmcdougal | He was quiet and he was quite interesting. |
| Squeechie | Dear Karen, are the pre-schoolers of today so much more mature than we were at their age? |
| karenmcdougal | I think so. It's a different time, it's a different era. I think they have more responsibility and that makes them more mature. I think that all I did in preschool was play. |
| Misterhyde | What's your favorite junk food? |
| karenmcdougal | There's too many to list. There's definitely a tie between pizza, doughnuts and any kind of chocolate with peanuts or crunchies in it. |
| Sunnybrite | You are getting a web site. Do you visit any chat rooms? Are you a big computer user? |
| karenmcdougal | No, I don't use computers at all. |

| Bjmorris | Having been in Playboy, is a Playmate something you did or something you are? |
| karenmcdougal | Being a Playmate is something I did, because I am still Karen McDougal. I just have a title behind my name now. And having a title doesn't make me or break me. |
| Ripridah | Have you ever been to the Playboy Mansion? |
| karenmcdougal | Lots of times. That's where I stay when I visit California. I always stay in the guest house. |
| Sapikala | What did you enjoy most about shooting your pictorial? |
| karenmcdougal | I enjoyed riding the dog sled the most. It was an interesting experience ... nude at that. |

| Richardjr | Are there any Playmate pals you socialize with? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, there are a couple that I really like hanging around. I'm pretty selective about my friends because I like someone who's down to earth like myself. But there are some great girls that I am honored to say that I hang around with. |
| Tombrooks1 | How long did you teach pre-school? If you go back to teaching, will it be pre-school or a different grade? |
| karenmcdougal | I've actually worked in learning centers all my life, but as for actually teaching, that was for a little over a year. My dream is to open my own learning center, but I wouldn't teach, I would be the director. |
| Lbrackett | In your bio you say you do not like people who think they are "players." What do you mean by that? |
| karenmcdougal | People who think they are better than anybody else, people who have a huge ego, people who think they can get anyone they want, people who like to use other people.... like that. |

| Ace | Karen, on your Data Sheet you described your perfect date. What's your perfect man like? What would it take to get to your heart? |
| karenmcdougal | My perfect man has to be someone who's down to earth and has a great sense of humor. To get to my heart, it takes someone very special. |

| Good_time | How has being a Playmate affected your sense of privacy? |
| karenmcdougal | It really hasn't yet. It comes further down the line when you get into acting and stuff. I think if I were more well known, it would affect me. |
| Jerrylow | Do you have a TV show that you must watch? Mine is Home Improvement. |
| karenmcdougal | I have to watch, it's a soap opera actually, Days of Our Lives. I just have to see it. |
| Ripridah | Are you going to appear in any Newsstand specials? |
| karenmcdougal | Not that I'm aware of, but we'll see. |
| Fortinbras | How many foreign countries have you traveled to? |
| karenmcdougal | Probably two -- Mexico and the Caribbean, St. Lucia. Canada too, but I don't count that because I've lived so close to it all my life. |
| Sapikala | I think there should be a new soap called "The Bold and the Karen McDougal". Would you ever like to act in a soap opera? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, definitely. I would like to. "The Bold and the Karen McDougal" sounds OK. I can live with that. |

| Goldfinger | Hi Karen. Where do you see yourself five years from now? |
| karenmcdougal | I see myself in a major film. Maybe have a kid already, I hope. And I'll be happily married. |
| Sapikala | How many kids would you like to have? I'll bet you would be a wonderful mom! |
| karenmcdougal | Thank you! I think I will be a wonderful mother. I would like to have three or maybe four kids. I would love to have a boy and a girl, but I wouldn't care as long as they are healthy. |
| Stoneyrock | Do you get hit on by lots of producers and "players" who only want you because you're a centerfold? |
| karenmcdougal | I don't know about the producers, but I would say that I get hit on by a lot of players. Men and women .... |

| Jerrylow | Are you a big sports fan? If yes, which are your favorites? |
| karenmcdougal | I'm not a huge sports fan, but I do enjoy watching football and basketball. And I like baseball, but I don't really like watching it on TV. I like being there. I like to play volleyball, softball -- I'll play anything. I played powder-puff football in high school and I was a cheerleader. It's hard to just sit and watch sports. |
| Sapikala | What if, 20 years from now, your daughter wanted to follow your footsteps and pose for Playboy? How would you react? |
| karenmcdougal | I would tell her to definitely go for it, but to wait until she reaches the maturity level to handle it. I would tell her to wait until she was 23 or 24... maybe older. I would be as proud of her as my mother is of me. |
