| moderator | How does it feel to be a Playmate? How has it changed your life? |
| karenmcdougal | I think it's great to be a Playmate. It's changed my life in a way that I get recognized where ever I go. And I get a lot of things free now. |

| Svinvest | Is being a Playmate what you expected it to be? What is different? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, it is what I expected it to be. It's a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. I love people so I'm trying to meet everybody that I can and meet all of my fans expectations. |
| Gumbyman2 | So what's next? |
| karenmcdougal | More modeling, commercials, acting and movies, I hope. I've thought about being an actress growing up a lot, but I never had the confidence to do anything about it. Over the last few years, I've become more confident and now want to pursue it more. |
| Mrwizard | Hi Karen! I'm from the Detroit area. I'm glad a Playmate is finally from Michigan! Do you ever or have you ever been to the Detroit area? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, I've been to the Detroit area since I've been here for about six years now. I don't get to the downtown Detroit area very often, but I'm often in the vicinity. |
| Svinvest | What did your family think of you being in Playboy? |
| karenmcdougal | My family thinks it's great. They are very supportive and proud of me. They had the confidence that I could do it and are very proud that I was able to accomplish it. |
| Thefreak | Are you currently in college and what is your pursuit? |
| karenmcdougal | No, I'm not in college. |
| karenmcdougal | I plan on just acting and modeling and someday go back and open my own learning center and teach there. |
| Svinvest | Are you still teaching? Did the school have any problems with you posing for Playboy? |
| karenmcdougal | No, I'm not currently teaching. I took a break so that I could fulfill my dream of a career in the acting/modeling field. But I will continue to teach after my modeling career is over. |
| Thefreak | What type of roles do you want to play? Is there a special actor you'd like to be with? |
| karenmcdougal | I'd like to play all kinds of roles. I'd like to be a smart, intelligent woman; I'd like to be a classy lady; I'd like to seduce and I'd like to play a mom. I would like to work with any actor that makes me look good. A strong actor. |
| ghostwheel | Karen, which actresses do you admire as role models for your career? |
| karenmcdougal | I would say that I like Demi Moore. I think she's a great actress with a phenomenal physique to go along with it. And Deidre Hall on Days of Our Lives. |
| Goldfinger | Hi Karen. How did you become involved with Playboy? |
| karenmcdougal | I was at the Venus Swimwear finals. I approached a Playboy photographer and asked him to test me. That's how it started. |
| Gumbyman2 | Have any acting offers come in yet that you want to do? |
| karenmcdougal | One has come in, but I'm not supposed to mention it. So I don't want to blow my chances before it starts. |

| moderator | How did your photo shoot go? What was it like? |
| karenmcdougal | My photo shoot was very smooth. I had a wonderful time. Everyone was really professional and made it very relaxing for me. It was easy. I froze for two days in the snow. I was numb, but it was fun. After the fact, I was like, "Cool." But it was VERY cold. |
| robert0259 | Why do so many Playmates desire to become actresses? Is it the lure of the money? |
| karenmcdougal | No, money's got nothing to do with it. I would like to be an actress to be able to promote causes such as breast cancer. And I would like to be in men's magazines to let men know what women are like. Breast cancer runs in my family. My mom always told me that if I ever became famous I could promote the issue and let people know about it. We've seen the pain and suffering women have gone through over it. |
| ghostwheel | Karen, where were the outdoor shots taken? |
| karenmcdougal | They were up in the mountains in Park City, Utah. |
| Rockinroller | Do you like to shovel snow or do you get someone else to do it? |
| karenmcdougal | I get someone else to do it. I used to do it as a kid, but I don't like to do it anymore. |
| Rosshutt | Was your favorite photo published in your layout? If so, which one was it? |
| karenmcdougal | No, my favorite photo was not published. I've seen much better, let's put it that way. I like the one where I'm standing up bending over with my eyes shut. |
| Gumbyman2 | Do you have a fan club site yet, somewhere to write to you? |
| karenmcdougal | As of right now, I do not. I'm working on it though. You can send me fan mail right now through Playmate Promotions in LA. They will get it to me and I'll write you back! |
| Redwing | Karen, how did you get interested in teaching preschool? |
| karenmcdougal | I was raised around kids all my life. I worked in daycare centers volunteering during high school and I love kids. I went to college, took elementary education, applied at a learning center and got the job. |
| Nigparkin | What will you miss most about leaving teaching? |
| karenmcdougal | I'll miss the warmth of the children. And I'll miss being able to help children that have difficulties learning or a difficult home life. I would still like to volunteer when I go back home when I can. |
| Intimidator3 | How hard was it to overcome the shyness of posing nude? |
| karenmcdougal | It was difficult at first, but once I saw how professional the staff was it was a lot easier. Now it's no problem at all. |

| Gumbyman2 | How many kids would YOU like to have? |
| karenmcdougal | I would like to have three kids. I would like at least one boy and one girl, but as long as they are healthy I'll be happy. |
| Striker69 | Have you ever had a chance to check out the Cyber Club? If so, what are your reactions? |
| karenmcdougal | No, I've not been able to check it out yet. Sorry. |
| ghostwheel | Karen, do you collect anything as a hobby? |
| karenmcdougal | I collect dalmatians (not real ones). I've just started that one. I've given up every other collection I've had. When I was a kid I collected silly stuff: keychains, stickers.... |
| Gardener | Karen, will you be doing any videos for Playboy? |
| karenmcdougal | I did my centerfold video which will be coming out soon and I did the Girls Next Door video. I'll do more if they offer. |
| moderator | How is that different from posing for photos? |
| karenmcdougal | Video you get to show more of yourself. It's not "posey." You get to dance around, have freedom and just be yourself. There are ways to move around where you don't show everything. If you know how to do that, you're ok. |
| robert0259 | Karen, in movies, would you draw the line at any point in doing simulated sex? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, I will not do it. I don't mind nudity, but there's a point. |
| Striker69 | What is your opinion on differences in sexual preferences? (i.e. gay, lesbian, straight) |
| karenmcdougal | To each their own. I don't mind. everyone's got their own opinions and I don't judge anyone. |
| A_playmate_fun | Have you ever traveled outside the U.S.? |
| karenmcdougal | I've gone to Mexico and Canada, that's about it. |
| Gumbyman2 | Do you like to travel? What would be your dream vacation? |
| karenmcdougal | I do like to travel. I think to go to Paris would be my dream vacation. Pretty typical, but that would be it. |
| Gumbyman2 | Does Playboy allow you to reject pictures you think may show too much? |
| karenmcdougal | Not that I'm aware of, but I honestly don't know that answer. That's why I watch the way I pose and don't do anything that I wouldn't like to see. |

| karenmcdougal | Thank you so much for your vote! I really appreciate it. I definitely prefer briefs. |
| ghostwheel | Karen, your lovely pictorial includes dogs, a bunny, and a polar bear (sort of). Are you fond of animals? Do you have any pets ? |
| karenmcdougal | I love animals but I had nothing to do with the animals in the pictorial.I have two cats. If you watch my Playmate video you will see more cats. They knew I loved cats and they brought a bunch of them in for the shooting. |
| Redwing | Karen, do you find a guy with or without facial hair more attractive? |
| karenmcdougal | I would say without, but I think personality and character play a much larger role than facial hair. |
| Striker69 | What type of music do you like listening to? |
| karenmcdougal | I like Top 40, hip-hop and funk the best, but I'll listen to almost anything. The Artist Formerly Known..... :) is my favorite. |
| ghostwheel | Karen, are you a sports fan? Do you have a favorite team? |
| karenmcdougal | I like football. My favorite is probably the Lions since I live here. And I like basketball and anything to do with cheerleaders. |
| Mrwizard | Gotta know: Do you like the Detroit Red Wings? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, I do, but I'm not a big hockey fan to be honest. |

| Intimidator3 | Do you keep up with Nascar racing? You could be the next Ms. Winston Cup! |
| karenmcdougal | Nascar races, no. I have friends that drag race that I watch though. |
| robert0259 | Karen, when you are a big movie star making $20 million per picture, will you shun your Playboy past? |
| karenmcdougal | No, because that's where I got started. I don't shun anything or anybody. |
| Rosshutt | When I saw a preview picture of you, it reminded me of Playmates of the Seventies. Other people have had similar opinions. Have you seen layouts from the Seventies? If so, how do you think they compare to today's style? |
| karenmcdougal | No, I haven't seen any layouts of the Seventies. I've heard that from other people though. They tell me that I have a girl next door look that reminds them of the Seventies. |
| Redwing | Karen, were you a cheerleader in high school or college? |
| karenmcdougal | I was a cheerleader in high school for four years. I was the captain in my Senior year. If you watch my Playmate Centerfold video, you will see a cheerleader type splits move. |
| ghostwheel | Karen, the next Glamourcon is in Chicago-- will you plan to be there? |
| karenmcdougal | I will do my best to be there. I look forward to it! |
| Intimidator3 | Does Playboy have any plans for you to grace another issue? And if so, will you accept? |
| karenmcdougal | Not at this time. I will definitely accept. Maybe at your recommendation, Playboy will put me in another one. |

| Gardener | Karen, did you enjoy being at the Playboy Mansion? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, I did enjoy it. It was a lot of fun. There is a lot of serenity on the grounds there. The brownies, rice crispy treats, and oatmeal cookies were the best! You go there and you come back ten pounds heavier. |
| Thefreak | Did you get any advices from past Playmates? |
| karenmcdougal | No, I didn't since I don't know any past Playmates. I've met a few girls from this year but it was more in a working situation. |
| Svinvest | What do you do in your free time to relax? |
| karenmcdougal | I cuddle up with my cats and listen to music, work out or play with my nieces and nephews. |
| Gardener | Karen, do you work out more than five days a week? |
| karenmcdougal | I work out three days a week. I do all free weights. Except when I come back from the Mansion. Then I have to do hours of cardio! |

| ghostwheel | Karen, describe the ingredients in a love potion that would work on you. |
| karenmcdougal | You gotta start off with chocolate! Lots of chocolate. Someone with a sense of humor, a warm heart, a nice personality, a bottle of champagne and a hot tub. |
| robert0259 | Are you into the change of seasons? |
| karenmcdougal | Yes, I do like them. Winter is my least favorite, but I deal with it. It's pretty, but it gets old. My favorite is the fall. |
| Thefreak | How did you handle your siblings when you were young? |
| karenmcdougal | My brothers were older so they spoiled me rotten and protected me. And my little sister, I treated her like she was my little baby. We got along great. We are a very close family. |

| Intimidator3 | Karen, how good do you think your chances are of winning PMOY honors? And how would you feel to win it? |
| Gumbyman2 | Do you have your PMOY acceptance speech written yet? |
| karenmcdougal | I feel my chances are good. And if I were to win, I would owe it all to my fans, like you. I'm looking forward to when they announce who the winner is because I'm curious. And no, no speech is written. I don't want to jinx myself. |

| robert0259 | As a person who has felt breast cancer hit close to home, what are your feelings about enhancement surgery? |
| karenmcdougal | I have no problems with it because it can still be detected. It is a little harder to find it, but there are ways to detect it. They are coming out with new ways for people that have them with breast cancer. And if it makes someone feel better about themselves than I'm all for it. |
| Redwing | Karen, do you enjoy golf or skiing? |
| karenmcdougal | I like to ski. As far as golf, I know how to putt-putt. |
| Thefreak | Are you planning to appear in a Playboy Promotion soon? |
| karenmcdougal | I just did one in Florida. It was for the Oktoberfest. I was on the Keenan Ivory Wayans show on Tuesday. And I'm going to New York for a Kurt Vonnegut promotion. |

| karenmcdougal | Yes, I would. I'd love to show Howard Stern up! |
